Scorching temperatures in Hong Kong expected to ease with midweek rain

Hong Kong's extreme heat, with some areas forecast to reach 37°C (99°F), will continue for several more days before showers arrive later in the week. The Hong Kong Observatory attributes the hot conditions to outer subsiding airflow from Tropical Cyclone Dolphin affecting Guangdong and Hong Kong. Relief is expected as more frequent showers develop later this week.
