The Christopher Nolan epic secured its fifth consecutive weekend atop the South Korean box office. Data from the Korean Film Council's KOBIS tracker shows it drew nearly 700,000 spectators across roughly 1,860 screens during the Sept. 4-6 period.
Since its Aug. 5 premiere, the film has amassed over 10 million total viewers, translating to a cumulative gross of $83.2 million. Its 60.9% market share indicates it significantly outperformed the debut of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.
The sustained dominance of a director-driven epic could signal a robust appetite for original, large-scale storytelling among Korean audiences.
