Microsoft's pre-installed utility tests your computer's RAM by repeatedly writing and reading data to detect inconsistencies that could cause crashes or performance issues. The tool runs outside the normal Windows environment, requiring a restart to execute its series of memory checks. After completion, results are not shown immediately and must be located through the Event Viewer or other system logs.
