Five EU States Move Closer to Pact on Offshore Migrant Processing Centers

Germany, Austria, Greece, Denmark, and the Netherlands have agreed on concrete steps to negotiate with a third country for establishing return hubs for migrants without legal status. The group aims to finalize agreements by the end of the year to send such individuals outside the EU. Denmark's immigration minister said they expect a shared understanding with a partner nation around New Year.
