Operators speed up spectrum refarming from legacy 2G/3G to 4G/5G networks

A new report from the Global mobile Suppliers Association indicates that telecom operators are accelerating the shutdown of 2G and 3G networks. The freed-up spectrum is being repurposed to expand 4G and 5G coverage and capacity. This transition is expected to continue gaining momentum as older technologies become obsolete.
